Welcome to the age of ignorance. The only "higher" part of higher education is how much pot the students smoke before class. The stuff that we learn in school, especially in college, is so divorced from the real world. The massive ignorance of the American public at large is always most apparent during an election year. Thus, the inspiration for this blog. I hope that this blog becomes widely read and that people learn something from it.
It is impossible today to discuss politics in public. People that have strong views are immediately silenced at cocktail parties, dinner gatherings, and any other social event. If I had a nickel for every time a debate I was engaged in was silenced by people calling me a "buzzkill" or something akin to it I'd be a very rich person. This lack of communication is what is killing our Republic. Government censorship can not even scratch the surface of the damage our own self censorship does. Thus, I have decided to put my efforts into a neutral medium where no "personal" interaction takes place. Hopefully, this will be an educational experience not only for my readers, but for me as well.
